Staff Accountant

Our growing San Francisco-based construction development company is looking for a qualified full-time accountant with four to seven years’ experience in accounting. The applicant will be
responsible for day-to-day accounting functions using QuickBooks. This position is data entry
heavy (A/P volume up to 400 invoices/month; reconciling several corporate credit cards).

This key player will work closely with the Controller and must possess good organizational and
communication skills to deal diplomatically with all levels of company personnel and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing cash flow, A/P and payroll entry
  • Monitoring and processing recurring auto debits
  • Reconciling account & bank balances
  • Vendor statement & credit card(s) reconciliations
  • Providing backup for lender draws
  • Researching transactions to resolve questions and confirm data
  • Assisting senior management in ad hoc projects

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Full cycle accounting operation skills
  • A positive and collaborative attitude
  • An attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent mathematical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
  • A proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Office

Site Superintendent

We are looking for a SITE SUPERINTENDENT to manage on-site construction and quality control of high-end custom construction projects throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. The Site Superintendent manages fellow employees, subcontractors, handles scheduling and interacts with vendors, clients and office staff on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that projects are built to requirements and specifications established by construction drawings, building codes, and clients
  • Manage critical path schedules and budgets
  • Interface with Architects, Engineers and clients to ensure project meets design specifications
  • Monitor project quality and cost control
  • Manage all sub contractors and site employees
  • Work with project managers to ensure the delivery of successful projects
  • Ensure the safety of construction site via OSHA trainings and bi-weekly meetings

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience in residential construction in San Francisco
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field preferred
  • Construction management software proficiency preferred
  • Ability to understand structural/architectural/specification drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficient with Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, Mac OS, Dropbox, ProCore
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, etc. via email, in person, and on the phone
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others

Residential Construction Project Manager

We are a growing custom home builder and real estate developer based in San Francisco, and we are searching for an experienced PROJECT MANAGER capable of managing the construction of high-end residential builds in and around San Francisco.

The Project Manager (PM) oversees all aspects of the building process in order to deliver our construction projects on-time and within budget. Serving as a liaison between all stakeholders (client, architect/designer, superintendent, subcontractors, vendors, etc.), the PM establishes project goals and tracks progress, while maintaining professional communication between all parties. The ideal PM is able to handle multiple projects at once, is an innovative problem-solver, and maintains a positive attitude throughout the duration of a project. Above all, the PM must be organized, accountable, and possess technical knowledge necessary to build a home.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the project scope is completed on time and within budget
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the project contract and scope
  • Ensure all inspections and corresponding reports are performed, signed off, issued and documented
  • Manage and forecast project costs related to subcontractors, materials and in-house labor
  • Prepare project status and scheduling updated for management, clients, investors, etc.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all parties, throughout the entire process, from permitting to job completion
  • Clearly communicate and document key decisions and corresponding contract changes to the project team
  • Partner with Project Superintendent to develop a project site logistics plan, including staffing
  • Maintain all contract documents through Procore, including prime contract, change orders, subcontractor commitments
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to generate progress invoices to clients and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors
  • Compile required documentation for monthly bank draws and liaise with lender regarding funding

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of high-end residential construction project management experience, preferably in San Francisco
  • Experience managing multiple projects between $2-3m and/or large projects up to $10m, ranging from new construction to residential renovations
  • Understanding of building code and technical construction technologies
  • Highly organized, energetic, focused, positive attitude, and detail-oriented
  • Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a ‘can do’ attitude, ability to work independently but also a team player: dedicated to the success of the team
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently meet deadlines and follow through with tasks and responsibilities
  • Highly resourceful problem solver
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with clients, architects/engineers, vendors, subcontractors, etc. via email, in person, and on the phone
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record in order to drive shared company vehicle(s) to project sites
  • Proficiency with Procore is a plus
  • Spanish speaking a plus!
